My Graphic Art

Wigtastic
This was the second part of my Editorial project. Relating to the aspect of hair, I wanted to research how empowering wigs can be for women, whether that being for an illness, culture, or to change their identity daily without committing to a specific appearance.
I interviewed my close friend El, whom wears wigs daily to change her appearance. My other interviewee, Vanessa, wears wigs as part of her culture. It was eye-opening to learn about her reasons why wig wearing is so heavy in black culture. The creative direction of these photoshoots was by me, including the styling, makeup and photography.
